the application of the selective proximal vagotomy by the method of chemical denervation in treatment of patients of elderly and senile age suffering from the perforating pyloroduodenal ulcers

The article presents the results of using the vagotomy of an acid-producing zone of a stomach by the method of chemical denervation. Subjects to the operation were 20 Wistar line male rats and 22 pa­tients with perforating pyloroduodenal ulcers accompanied by cardio pathology. The simplicity, avail­ability and low traumatism of the technique, in view of the low percent of a relapse of the pyloroduo-denal ulcers, enable to recommend it for the treatment for the elderly patients with the heavy cardio pathology.
